I have that chart printed up and ready to start, and I need to get the other ones too. I have Frost Moon, but Nene has quite a few moon charts that are must haves for me!! Congrats on the great gift. She's beautiful!!

I am extremely lucky. I need to get some fabric, but due to the wedding in 2 weeks yesterday, im not sure when ill be able to get the fabric, or make a start on her.Hopefully before the end of august. (maybe start it for the august new start sal)
I do like her others mdgtjulie, but this was the next chart i would have bought myslef (if i had the money) as it is the one me and oh both love to go in the living room. I find i have more of a push to do something, when i have a particular place to put it.

I can understand that. I have quite a few charts in progress for my house, but they don't match (each other or the furniture). I've decorated in, well, it LOOKS like flea sale, but it's really not. My bed was new. Dressers are one from a friend, and one from my childhood. Couch is new, desk came from a friend, TV came from my dad, bookcases are new, came from a friend, and grandma's. Chair is from the other grandma. Table and chairs came from mom. It's all very eclectic. I'm happy with the mishmash, though, and if nothing matches anything else, so what?!?

mcewan07 said...

lol, no one cares - mine dont match either, but the colours in the pic's match the rooms colours ( firemoon - living or dining room , butterfly wood - kitchen , train of dreams - kids room , dryad - my bedroom)

That's wonderful. I love all those charts. They're all gorgeous!!

thanks - just need to think where to put once was innocent ( color)

I hope you find it!! I would be so upset if I lost one of my charts. Actually, I was (for years, I couldn't find it) till I found it when I moved in here in April. I was thrilled to find it, as I'm sure you will be to find yours!!

i don't need to find the chart, i need to find a place to put it once finished :D. lol

LOL, sorry, my bad. I guess I read that way too fast, lol. I'm putting my Desert Garden over the couch, and the rest will fight for space on the walls. Too many pretties, too small an apartment! I may end up rotating them. I think the deadly sins will go in the bedroom, because there should be enough room for all of them. I think... If I put them close to each other. Maybe it's good that there's only one window in there...

lol, i think the 7 sins are lovely - but i have no where to put them, also i think i would get fed up with doing them. i need variety, and they are only one basic colour in many depths. ( thus why i put of once was innocent, (basically all pinks and lilacs) and why i haven't tried doing a black and white one)
we live in a fairly big house (well it is in uk standards)So untill i have done around 20, i should be able to get them all up easily enough. And in 20 years time my tastes will probably have changed, that i can take some down and do others i like

I don't really get fed up. I have two cats I did a few years ago. The chart was a silhouette. The positive cat (cat stitched, background white) is Gwen the green cat, and the negative cat (background stitched, cat white) is Whit the white cat. They used to hang over my TV but I haven't gotten anything up on the new walls yet. And, dork that I am, I was one driveway down from the hardware store and forgot to take a screw with me to pick out a masonary bit. DUH!! I can't wait to watch your progress. Looking at other people's pics is so inspiring for me.

they sound nice, and as i said the pics turn out brill , i just dont have much patience. Finally finished 1/2 page of Once was Innocent ( OOI) and i am fed up of it already :S, think this one will take me a long time to stitch. As all my others draw me in and i become engrossed in it, this one doesn't ( not yet anyway - maybe when i get to the fairy)

We all do it. Mine is usually going to tesco for bread, and coming out with everything but the bread

mdgtjulie said...

Eh, some things just don't draw you in. It will eventually, I hope.

mcewan07 said...

looks like the first page wont even get finished, which also means that i ill not complete my 1/2 yearly HAED goals :S

mdgtjulie said...

Grrrrr... I hope it grabs you soon!!! What was you half yearly goal with it?

mcewan07 said...

to do 7.5%

just less than 17,000 stitches ( page 1 is 5600 , so about 3 pages)

mdgtjulie said...

LOL, I'm scared to figure out how many stitches are in mine!!! If I know how many there are, then I'll get intimidated!! I should figure it out someday, but not till I'm getting close to done, lol. I'm sorry you won't make your goal. It sucks to miss them. I always feel horrible about it.

mcewan07 said...

yeah - i might still manage - as i set my goal at 300 a day, but usually i stitch 600 a day.S their is still a chance.

Its easy to work out how many in it. just multiply the number of stitches across , by the number of stitches down.no point being scared by it - helps me figure out how long it will take to finish

mdgtjulie said...

LOL, no, you don't understand. I would find it intimidating to know how many stitches are left. The calculation is easy. But If I know there are, say, 300,000 stitches left, I would get overwhelmed with it, and would probably never finish it. I'll figure it out when I've got three pages to go, and it's not so bad, lol.

mcewan07 said...

yeah but i like that i can say..if i do 600 a day average, then 500 days ill have it finished.so i can plan my yearly goals approperately
each to their own

mdgtjulie said...

Ahhh, you're one of THOSE!!! I don't set goals very often as I almost never get there. I have set two so far this year. One of them was for Midnight Hunting, and the other for Portrait of Christ. I wanted to finish the first moon panel and some of the border before the end of my rotation with that piece, and I'm working on the border now. I may technically not meet the goal, as I need to do some stitches on the moon panel, but Hobby Lobby is out of the thread I need for it. So I'll have to make one more floss trip, to see if I can get what I'm missing. For Jesus, well, IDK if I'm gonna make it. His face is getting along well, but he's cursed. Every time I stitch on him (SAL on Sundays), I have to frog. Every time!! But I want to get him done in time to have him framed and delivered for Christmas!

mcewan07 said...

:(, i would hate having to frog every time.

I dont set my goals at 600 a day (although its my average) my goals are usually set at 200-300 a day.
So they are managable

mdgtjulie said...

I wish I could get that much a day. I tend to get a little over a hundred stitches per day lately. Maybe even less.

mcewan07 said...

well the last week due to the wedding , i have done 0. but hopefully with my new frame it will pick back up.

(on a side note - the pic you said looked nice - under my cake pic - is me and my dad :D lol)

mdgtjulie said...

I didn't look at who you were with at all, lol. And a wedding will do that too you. It's a time consuming process!!
